AGAR
Agar, otherwise known as swimming water chestnut, can be made from a plant called "water chestnut" in English and "Trapa" in Latin. Do not confuse it with agar-agar, which is made from algae (a mixture of polysaccharides agarose and agarpectin).
Here are some facts about how agar is superior to plain gelatin:
-Agar is suitable for vegetarians and vegetarian diets as it comes from plants, while gelatin comes from animals.
-Agar has no taste, smell or color.
-Agar sets more firmly than gelatin.
-Agar remains solid even when exposed to higher temperatures.
-Agar is used as a substitute for ordinary gelatin. 1 teaspoon of agar corresponds to 1 tablespoon of gelatin.
-Agar provides a feeling of satiety, making it excellent for diets.

PREPARATION:
Pour 1/3 teaspoon of tea into 200 ml of hot water (100 °C) and let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
To bring out the best properties of the tea, drink it 30 minutes before breakfast
meal, 1-3 times a day. Drink a glass of water before consuming the tea.
